Class Description
Whether you have a chewing puppy, a jumping adolescent or a growling adult, we can help turn your dog’s behavior around! At Turn Around Training, we believe that training should be a fun, comfortable, judgment free experience for you and your dog. Our class curriculum is designed around real life scenarios and focuses on positive reinforcement.
Puppy Kindergarten
This class is designed for puppies up to 6 months old and focuses on proper socialization allowing pups to play in a safe, supervised setting. PK teaches all of the basic cues such as sit, stay, and down along with proper manners, like no jumping or pulling on the leash.
Basic Obedience
This class is designed for dogs 6 months and up who have had little or no previous training. All basic cues are taught along with proper leash and greeting manners.
Advanced Obedience
This is class is for any dog/puppy who has completed a previous training class. In the advance obedience class we add distractions, hand commands and distance to the behaviors previously learned.
American Kennel Club CGC Prep and Test
This class will prepare you and your dog to take the AKC Good Citizen Test. Each week we will train for a different item on the test of ten behaviors. On the final class the CGC test will be given. You can get more information on the AKSCG test at www.AKC.org.
Circus Dog
Have you been through basic training and are looking for something fun for you and your dog? Why not teach your dog some fun tricks. Circus dog class will keep you dog's brain working and will keep you laughing!
Out and About
The object of this class is to take the skills previously learned in the classroom and apply them to the real world! This is the perfect class for those dogs that may be reactive towards other dogs on leash, pull towards people, chase cars or just don't listen in public! This class is for any dog/puppy that has completed a previous training class and will meet at a different public location to be determined each week.
Private in home training
Private training is available for dogs with behavior issues that would prevent working in a group setting.
All classes are designed and taught by Michelle Welch CVT, CPDT
Michelle is a certified veterinary technician and a certified pet dog trainer with over 15 years of professional experience. Michelle is a member of The Association of Pet Dog Trainers, The Massachusetts Veterinary Technicians Associations and The Society of Veterinary Behavior Technicians.
